Pacific Poker adds to WPC seats for PL.com players

The sixth and final seat to the World Poker Crown that Pacific Poker was offering exclusively to all PokerListings.com players at the poker site will be handed out in a freeroll today.

But don’t panic if you didn’t get your shot at a free seat in the WPC. Pacific Poker has decided to add a few more chances for PokerListings.com players to win seats. Players from Italy, France, Germany and Spain will get another shot at seats in freerolls specifically for their country. The freerolls will take place at 4 p.m. Pacific Poker Time on the following dates: April 21: ItalyApril 22: FranceApril 23: GermanyApril 24: Spain As an added bonus, poker players don’t have to do anything to qualify. In the initial freerolls that were open to all PokerListings.com players, players had to earn five points during a seven-day qualifying period to get into each freeroll. All it takes now is to have signed up at Pacific Poker through PokerListings.com and be from one of the four countries listed. What they’ll be playing for is a seat in the WPC, which is worth $1,000+$50, but has the potential to be worth much more since the tournament has a guaranteed $3 million prize pool. Plus, the winner will take home $1 million. The WPC is a newly created tournament from 888.com that will start out online, bringing together players from all over the world to compete. When it gets down to the final table, play will be stopped and the remaining players will be flown to Barcelona, Spain, to finish the game live. They will be given free transportation from anywhere in the world to Barcelona, as well as five-star hotel accommodations for the duration of the final event. The WPC online tournament will take place April 26 at 10 a.m. Pacific Poker Time. The final table will take place May 6-10. The final table will also be filmed to air on Sky Sports 2 on May 12.
